 A CENTENARY message from our patron
Dear Friends
Congratulations to Cape Town Child Welfare as the organization Celebrates 100 years of caring for the children of Cape Town. CTCW has wonderful track record of caring for and nurturing our children and has been the prototype for many other organizations that care for children in our country.
My dream is for our communities to become more compassionate, more caring, willing to share and take responsibility for the vulnerable. This is God’s dream for us all. Cape Town Child Welfare is bringing us closer to its realisation.
Thank you to the staff and volunteers, thank you to all the generous supporters and sponsors. I pray that this work so well begun and sustained will continue to help our children for many years to come.

HELPKIDS LOVEWINS CARNIVAL ~ 20 DECEMBER 2008
         
Support the Kids Christmas Carnival in association with Heart 104.9fm
Cape Town Child Welfare celebrates one hundred years of caring with a fundraising Carnival for kids this Christmas!
Join your favourite Heart 104.9fm DJs at Chrysalis Academy, Porters Estate on Saturday 20th December for a fun day out at the 2008 Kids Christmas Carnival, from 10h00 to 14h00.
As part of its centenary celebrations, the Charity has created this special fundraiser event as part of its’ 2008 LOVE WINS campaign. Sponsored by Heart 104.9fm, Capetonians can look forward to a fun summer outing - for the whole family - with all proceeds going directly to helping vulnerable children of the Western Cape.

On any given day, the Cape Town Child Welfare provides services to 180 clients and over 850 foster children, caring for over 6 000 children annually through direct social work intervention. Help Cape Town Child Welfare make Christmas matter by supporting the Kids Christmas Carnival.

CAPE TOWN CHILD WELFARE CENTENARY DONOR'S RECEPTION
      
On a magical evening held on 19th November 2008, Cape Town Child Welfare honoured its donors, stakeholders and friends in a cocktail party at the majestic Mount Nelson Hotel. Guests were treated to welcome drinks around the Lord Kitchener Fountain before proceeding into The Garden Room for welcome speeches by the previous Chair of our Board, Sharon Follentine and our newly elected Chair, Theo Nkone.
Drinks and canapes made their way around the room whilst guests had the stresses of the day soothed away by harpist Jane Theron.
We would like to once again, to pay tribute to our loyal donors and sponsors and thank them for their enthusiasim and support of our very noble organisation.

On Friday 18th April, Cape Town Child Welfare celebrated its 100th birthday with staff at a high tea celebration at Head Office. The hall was transformed into a space of white organza, fairy lights candles and roses.
A beautiful birthday cake, in the form of our logo was cut by Chief Executive, Niresh Ramklass.
All staff join hands in wishing our noble organisation a happy centenary year!!

Tuesday 19th February 2008 was a really beautiful day. The clouds hung over the mountains and life was perfect.
7pm arrived and all the corporate companies who were taking part in the 2008 Centenary Corporate Quiz Challenge were in place. The evening progressed with ten quiz rounds and spot prize challenges intersperced with delicious foods and the quaffing of the Cape's best.
