Placement of Social Work Students:

  • Many universities and colleges request placements for their students.

  • Students from the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch and the University of the Western Cape as well as from the rest of South Africa are placed for internship whilst working toward their Social Work degree.

  • We welcome applications from foreign students who wish to complete their inservice training within an NGO environment.

  • These students undertake their practical training at Cape Town Child Welfare, under the supervision of social workers from a range of teams. Placements of students is coordinated by Ina Vermeulen
  • Ours is a significant role in preparing them to become responsible and competent social workers of the future.
