
ABOUT
The Interventions Unit’s key role is rendering family preservation services using a developmental approach which focuses on “building resilience within children and families”. This unit provides early intervention strategies in order to ensure that the rights of children are upheld and that parents/caregivers are equipped with the skills and insight to ensure the safety of children in their care.
Using specific assessment tools their focus areas are behaviour problems; contact care and mediation; children returned to parents by the court under the supervision of a child protection agency; providing monitoring and supportive services iro children under 5 years
